Terms of study and payment

This page collects the way our courses, payments and practical arrangements work. If something is missing, write to us and we will answer.

What you are buying

We sell a course, not single lessons. A children’s course is a school year from September to May - nine months of lessons following a programme. Single lessons are not sold: language and literature work over a long distance, and the lessons build on each other.

You can join in any month of the school year: we place a child in a group by age and level at any point.

Payment

Payment is monthly and in advance: at the start of the month you pay for that month’s lessons. We accept payment by card online and by bank transfer.

For students who have already started, the price does not change in the middle of the school year.

Discounts

  • −3% if you pay for the whole course at once
  • −5% when two children from one family study with us; the family discount does not apply to the course for adults

How the level and the group are decided

Before the start, the level is established with a short questionnaire and, if needed, a brief introductory chat with the child. We then place the child in a group by age and level.

The first 2–3 weeks are for settling in: if the group turns out not to match the child’s level, we move them to another one.

Missed lessons

The recording of a lesson is kept for 7 days, so a missed lesson can be watched. By arrangement, a child can attend that lesson with another group.

What is included and what you need

All study materials are included in the price - there is nothing to buy.

Lessons run in Zoom. You need a computer or tablet with a camera and an internet connection.

If the format turns out not to suit

The first lesson shows whether the format suits your child. If it does not, a refund is possible: write to us and we will arrange it.

The course for adults: what differs

The course for adults is 60 academic hours, about 3.5 months, and a new group starts every month. It can be paid monthly in advance or in full at the start.

The 3% discount for paying in full applies here too; the 5% family discount does not. The price includes a recording of every lesson; study materials are paid for separately.
