In our lessons we lead the child from reading to writing texts of their own - through books, conversation and creative projects. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes and stays lively and interesting: children read, discuss, write and gradually grow more confident in saying what they mean.
We read aloud and work through what we have read: what matters most here, and why the characters act as they do.
Learning to say “I think”, “it seems to me”, “because” - and to explain how they got there.
We write in every lesson: a story of 8–10 sentences, letters, postcards and reviews of books.
Research and creative projects that children make together and present to the group.
Short 15–20 minute activities: finish a text, write a mini-story, or take a quiz on the new words.
A project, “A Book About Me”, which the child presents to the group. At the end - a certificate for completing the programme.
18 topics throughout the year - from talking about yourself to telling stories of your own.
Poems and stories about children their own age, classics, fairy tales and non-fiction - things there is something to say about, and something to argue over.
